There are many fears and fun things about Facebook. Some of the fears are based on possibilities of being infected, personal space being violated, or loss of time spent browsing. First of all, marketing of you and marketing of your business are two separate things. Realtors are in the Relationship business. It is "people" whom we deal with. The more people we meet, the more friends and possible clients we meet.
The fears can only be dispelled by knowledge. Study and learn how Facebook works, read articles, attend classes, and then put your business toe into the water. Watch out! It will be rewarding and fun, maybe even addictive. So budget your time, and go a little deeper into the water every day. Check statuses, make friends, start a business page, run an ad and see where it takes you. Remember, Facebook is about selling you, not your houses. Buyers and sellers are going to be checking you out so keep that in mind when filling in your profile, your pictures and your "likes".
